I found myself stranded for these past few days. I was involved in a car accident on last Tuesday. Luckily, me and my boss, who happened to be hitching a ride to our badminton session every week, were not injured.
However, the car was dented and it will take about a week for it to be fixed. For one freaking week, I will miss four badminton sessions as I have no transportation home and to my horror, I left my badminton shoes in my car. This leaves me without proper shoe to play badminton this coming week until the car is fully serviced.
But, I should be happy for having such good friends in times of trouble. They are kind enough in lending their helping hand. DanLee was kind enough to introduce his friend to me. His friend in turn called his boss and his other colleague to come over to look at my car as well as settling with the police report and insurance as well as the repairs. Daniel even sent me home on Thursday.
LLP was kind enough to fetch me back on Tuesday after I settled the car issue as well as borrowing me her car so that I could go to the bank to get a copy of the road tax for my insurance claim.
Then iJet was kind enough to drop me back home on Wednesday. And I was cruel in dropping her a bomb. LOL! We will discuss about the bomb in another entry.
CChan also helped me out on Thursday and Friday by sending me to work in the early morning. And fortunate for me, he leaves for work at the same time as me. (Due to certain work that I needed to complete, I needed to go back to work earlier. Hence, I could not ask my other friends for help.)
On Wednesday morning, I even received SMS from YLLian of mine who heard about me involved in the car accident via Twitter. (Yes! I tweet!)
I am very grateful for all the friends and colleagues that I have right now. =)
